Starting Out As a Freelancer

Are you new to freelancing and self-employment or are already self-employed? Hear from industry specialists on the pros and cons and do's and dont's of freelancing as a creative and how you can maximise your potential.

12.30pm - 1.15pm - The Pros and Cons of Freelancing - led by Lydia Wakefield from the Association of Independent Professionals and Self Employed (IPSE)

 

1.15pm - 2.15pm - Setting Up - This session will look at the practicalities of Freelancing and cover Business Structure, Tax Returns, Book Keeping and Invoicing delivered by Keith Arkle from Intuit Self-Employed, an accountancy software firm for freelancers, self-employed and small businesses with an aim to help simplify finances for the self-employed. Keith has also previously worked for himself so brings his personal experience of being self-employed with him.
