Pitch it: Live Pitch & Prize

Are you a current UAL student? Do you have an idea for a creative business, innovative start-up or social enterprise?

 

Come and pitch your idea to a panel of experts for the chance to win £100.

We’ll be looking at both the idea itself and the way you communicate and pitch it to the panel. Each pitch will be 5 minutes long and the panel will deliberate before announcing the prize winners at the end of the event. We’ll be awarding up to 10 prizes of £100 so get ready!

 

With the event on Friday you’ll have the whole week to attend as many inspiring sessions as possible and put what you’ve learnt to good use.

The £100 is offered as a prize rather than funding for your idea, how to choose to use/ invest/ or spend the prize is up to you.

 

The Panel:

 

Richard Sant - Head of Careers & Employability

 

Zoë Tynan-Campbell - Enteprrise Practitioner Careers & Employability

 

Jide Adetunji - Award Winning Creative Entrepreneur. Co-Founder/Chief Marketing Officer of GUAP, revolutionary youth platform dedicated to documenting and nurturing creative talent worldwide.

 

Waiming Wee - Project management consultant, project lead for brands, producer, art curator and installation artist. She was with Edelman for 4 years, the largest PR agency in the world and managed large scale projects in events and installations for clients including PayPal, Lego, Nissan Futures, Alcon, ASICS, Xbox and HP. Prior to that, she was the Producer and Exec Producer at unit9, one of the world’s top 10 production agencies for 5.5 years and some of the projects that she managed including Sony VAIO, Samsung Electronics, Comcast HD have won Cannes, D&AD, One Show and Lovies Award. She also produced non-commercial or art projects including ParaNorman (stop motion animation),  Hayward Gallery, Sadler’s Wells, New Movement Collective and Lisbon Architecture Triennale. She curates exhibitions in Tokyo (Japan) and her installation works as an artist had been exhibited at a public hospital in Singapore in 2015 and Camp Basel, in conjunction with Art Basel week in Switzerland in 2017. She also conducts project management/production workshops at Edelman and Accenture Digital.
